Facilities and Infrastructure
Facilities and Infrastructure encompasses the entire physical infrastructure and services required to integrate, operate and maintain a product.
A key element of ILS, project responsibilities for facilities and infrastructure vary depending on the scope and requirement of the program. The funding, management, sustainability, upgrade and even disposal of facilities may be the responsibilities of multiple organisations. Our program leadership will analyse each requirement and engage with the Key Stakeholders to determine the appropriate management approach. The subsequent identification of the facilities management portfolio normally consists of permanent and semi-permanent real property assets and additional equipment required to support a system.
Interactive Technical Solutions Ltd (ITS) can identify and define types of facilities or facility improvements, location, space needs, environmental and security requirements. The facilities required for training, equipment storage and maintenance, supply storage will also be evaluated ensuring a holistic approach is adopted for each program.
By conducting the necessary cost benefit analysis we can deliver a set of recommendations in the form of an Investment Appraisal (IA). This type of analysis has been used on a recent program to define a costed “Fleet Management” proposal. This proposal allowed the Client to understand the best method to provide the required facilities and infrastructure and support solution at an optimised Whole Life Cost (WLC).
